Today's Good Thing: Sienna Bonnie

Time: 1:35 pm

Meeting: Bath

Only two of these have racecourse experience and the standard is clearly set by SIENNA BONNIE, who showed promise when chasing home a well-fancied winner over this trip at Windsor on debut. That experience can count for a lot and she is taken to gp one better today. The pick of the newcomers appear to be the Mark Johnston-trained Eternal Glory, who is closely related to Group-placed 5f two-year-old winner Vocational, and Severn Stoke, who represents the in-form Richard Hannon stable.

SIENNA BONNIE showed enough when second at Windsor on debut 2 weeks ago to suggest a race of this nature should be within her compass. Newcomers Eternal Glory and Severn Stoke make some appeal on paper, though, and strong support for either in the market should be respected.

Today's Good Thing: Broome

Time: 2:35 pm

Meeting: Curragh

The Daily Good Thing Result

Twilight Payment is the class act in the race and takes to the track for the first time since landing the Melbourne Cup in November. Over this shorter trip, on his seasonal return, however, he might be worth taking on with BROOME, who confirmed his effectiveness under these conditions last month when landing a Group 3 over this track and trip, with Up Helly Aa (third) and Helvic Dream (fourth) both in arrears. Saltonstall ran well over 1m at Leopardstown last time but others have stronger distance form in the book. Aidan O’Brien has dominated this race over the years and BROOME, who defeated a couple of today’s rivals in the Alleged here last month, looks good to make it 3-3 for the campaign. This trip is on the short side for Twilight Payment but he could still be the one to give the selection most to do.
